Our Mission: TS Group began in 1997 when Mick Barnes launched a small UK pump company, Tapflo UK, building on Tapflo Group’s foundation. The acquisition of Sychem in the early 2000s led to the formation of TS Group, expanding capabilities across multiple industrial sectors.
Growth continued with the founding of Attega Group in 2019 for recruitment and Tapflo’s Gulf operations in 2022, reflecting international ambitions. From humble beginnings, TS Group has grown through strategic development, partnerships, and a long-term vision for success.
Mick Barnes founded the business from his garage, establishing a UK operation built on the foundation of Tapflo Group. With a clear focus on quality and customer service, the company quickly began building its reputation in the UK pump market.
The acquisition of Sychem, a specialist provider of disinfection and sterilisation solutions, marked a pivotal step. This move led to the formation of TS Group, broadening the company’s capabilities and creating a diversified industrial group.
As the business grew, we moved to a larger building in the Chandlers Ford Industrial Estate, where we continued to grow and employ more staff, housing both Tapflo and Sychem teams until we couldn’t fit any more desks!
To accommodate growth, Sychem moved to a new facility just down the road, which became its dedicated HQ. This move allowed both Tapflo and Sychem to operate more efficiently, with room to expand further.
The creation of Attega Group expanded TS Group’s portfolio into recruitment. Born out of hiring frustrations and challenges, Mick & Luke Barnes launched Attega to build a partnership-led recruitment business.
The launch of Tapflo operations in the Gulf region marked a new chapter of international growth, reflecting TS Group’s ambition and commitment to global expansion.
From a single employee to a growing team of five, Tapflo Gulf expanded rapidly. As the team grew, we secured a new, dedicated office space to support our operations and provide a professional environment for continued growth and collaboration in the region.
Tapflo and Sychem have now combined operations into a brand-new, purpose-built headquarters. This milestone unifies the Group under one roof, providing modern facilities to support continued growth, innovation, and collaboration.
